PA Housing shortlisted for two UK Housing Awards
2021 - September, Latest news
PA Housing is celebrating this week after being shortlisted for two sector awards.
The 23,000-home housing association is a finalist in the Resident Employment and Training and Digital Landlord of the Year categories at the UK Housing Awards, which take place in November.
Award judges for the Resident Employment and Training shortlisted PA based on its continued delivery of its Be Your Own Boss initiative throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
The PA Housing team were aware that many residents would experience a devastating loss of employment and job opportunities as a result of the Covid-19 lockdowns and worked with delivery partner The Enterprise CUBE to ensure physical sessions were replaced with virtual sessions in order to continue supporting residents exploring the possibility of self-employment.
Meanwhile, PA was also recognised for its work with digital agency Prodo to design and deliver digital services for residents. This included the My PA portal, which was heavily relied upon by residents during the pandemic, with monthly usage among registered customers jumping from 50% to 86%.
It is very special to be shortlisted in not one, but two, of the most prestigious awards in the housing sector – and the fact PA has been recognised for its work during such a challenging time makes this an even more outstanding achievement. However, the team is not driven by awards success. They are motivated by finding innovative ways to provide our residents with the support and services they need, when they need them.Dilip Kavi, Chief Executive of PA Housing
The UK Housing Awards take place on Thursday 25 November at the InterContinental London – The O2.
