We expect that every supplier will be in a contract, whether for a single one-off purchase or a single year or multi-year contract. That said, the contract requirements will vary for the different types of services, goods, and works that PA Housing requires. Through the approved supplier application, all suppliers will be committing to PA Housing Standard Terms and Conditions by virtue of becoming approved suppliers.
These terms will cover low-level spending and one-off supplies. However, if the contract requirements are considered to require a more formal set of terms, PA Housing will utilise our Standard Terms and Conditions for Goods and Services and our Standard Terms and Conditions for Works. These contracts will then replace the standard terms agreed via the approved supplier application.
In many cases related to procurements for works, we will use a suite of amendments to accompany the appropriate JCT contract. The amendments will be shared as part of the document’s suite in the procurement exercise. In some instances, PA Housing will review the supplier’s contract for specialised contracts.
Data Protection is also critical, and all suppliers who take up the role of a data processor or data controller must be subject to a data sharing agreement. It is also vital that we are confident that suppliers manage our data safely and correctly.
