Project Flower

In our Supported and Agency Services Team, we have many different types of specialist support services within our properties, each offering our residents a place of safety and the correct support for their needs. 

Some of these services include places of safety for women and their children fleeing domestic violence. 

One of these schemes has a garden which was looking a bit worse for wear. Steve, Senior Gas Manager, and Alli, Supported and Agency Services Coordinator had been speaking about doing a project for a while and our contractor, Aaron Services wanted to help too. So, a collaboration was set up. Aaron Services kindly provided funding and people power so the hard work of taking the garden back to soil could begin.   

This was an arduous task and the team from Aaron Services worked hard. Alli was there to provide cake, bacon rolls, and do the odd bit of gardening too. The women living in the scheme were amazed at the light created in this newly made space and the excitement for the next steps was the talk of the scheme.

Contractors, Roberts Garden & Tree Services, came to the scheme to make it a lovely garden with its own hotel for bugs. A place where pumpkins will grow, and young minds will be inspired whilst their mums have a safe place to rebuild their lives.
