Just like with the cleaning, looking after the communal green spaces around your home are just as important to helping you like where you live.

This could include cutting the grass, keeping bushes and hedges trimmed, and litter picking.

Where we’re responsible for the grounds maintenance, our specification makes these commitments to you so you know what to expect.

Rented and Independent Living accommodation

The below will be completed each visit with the exception of grass cutting is usually completed between March and October.

Hedges and shrubs will be cut back outside of nesting/flowering season.

Considerable cut backs will be completed in winter months.

Hardstanding/Car parks Fortnightly Areas to be swept and cleared of litter and debris and weeds
Pathways To be swept, edges and cleared of weeds
Grass areas Grass is to be cut and all cutting to be collected and removed from site
Hedges and shrubs Hedges and shrubs to be cut and maintained. They should not encroach on windows or pathways.
Rough areas These areas are to be managed and maintained as required
Broken glass, bodily fluids and drug paraphernalia reported to PA immediately Emergency clean/removal to be arranged
Edging Fortnightly Grass areas and shrub beds to be edged and kept tidy
Brambles, self sets and ivy Brambles, self sets and ivy to be removed once spotted
Animal fouling All animal fouling to be removed from the communal areas
Trees Tree trunks maintained, epicormic growth removed and low hanging branches up to 2.5m are to be removed.
Independent Living accommodation affected by a step or slope

Grit/salt to be distributed over areas that experience high levels of footfall in order to minimise the chances of slipping, as and when required depending on weather/temperature.
