PA Housing appoints new board members

2023 - August, Our news

PA Housing has announced that five new non-executive members are joining its board.

The new appointments will allow four existing members of the board to retire – in a staggered handover to enable strong continuity – following more than six years of tenure at PA Housing.

Jo Banfield, Tom Vaughan, Tim Hill, Susan Goldsmith and Tim Jennings join the social housing provider with more than 50,000 residents over the coming weeks.

All five board members bring a wealth of experience in either supporting or working in the social housing sector, with both Tom Vaughan and Tim Jennings previously holding executive director and non-executive director positions at other providers.

Collectively, the new appointments also bring extensive cross-sector knowledge, increasing the board’s diversity of thought to enable the organisation to enhance and deliver against its overarching and strategic plans.

As part of the recruitment process, PA Housing sought applications from individuals with a proven commitment to focusing on customers to support the organisation in effectively meeting the needs of its residents now and in the future.

Suki Kalirai, chair at PA Housing, commented: “This is an exciting time to join PA Housing to support us in improving our organisation at every level for the benefit of our residents.

I was delighted with the level of interest we received for these roles on our board and am extremely pleased to be able to add people with such a wealth of knowledge, capability and skills gleaned in a wide range of senior roles across multiple sectors. Their support will enhance our capabilities to develop further and stronger as an organisation with residents leading our focus. On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Steve Amos and Curtis Juman, who stepped down at the end of July, both were instrumental in forming PA Housing and have worked diligently and with good grace over the last seven years. We wish you well in your future roles.”
